Tracking California’s Sickle Cell Data Collection for California program invites you to attend a webinar, “Community Health Workers and Mobile Apps for Transition from Pediatric- to Adult-focused Sickle Cell Care” .
The presenter will be Dr. Kim Smith-Whitley, Clinical Director of the Division of Hematology and Director of the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She holds the Elias Schwartz, MD, Endowed Chair in Hematology. Dr. Smith-Whitley was a past Chief Medical Officer for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
She will speak about her Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded research to study how to improve quality of life for youth with sickle cell disease as they transition to adult care.
The agenda will include a brief update on the Sickle Cell Data Collection program (the host of the webinar). This webinar is part of a series of quarterly webinars featuring experts in sickle cell disease and updates on this project.
